Who this covers

ShareMyPin is a location-request tool for roadside assistance and similar one-time meetups. This policy applies to the marketing site and to the product at app.sharemypin.com.

Two people are involved in a location request: the account holder who creates and sends a link, and the person who opens that link and chooses to share a pin.

Location pins

Location is collected only after the person on the public page presses the share button, or confirms an address or approximate pin. We do not collect GPS in the background, and we do not offer live tracking.

The pin is sent only to the named person or company on that page. Coordinates are encrypted at rest. Public links use unguessable tokens. Integer IDs never appear in the public URL.

Pins are hard-deleted after the account holder's retention window: 7, 14, or 21 days, capped by the plan. Audit events can record that a deletion happened without storing the coordinates. Backups may hold deleted coordinates until those backups age out.

We do not sell location data. We do not use submissions for advertising or profiling.

Account data

When you create an account we store the details you provide at signup, such as name, email, account type (Individual or Company), and billing information needed to run the plan you choose. Company accounts may also store teammate seats, roles, branding, and an audit log of who created a link or received a pin.

You can disable or regenerate a public link at any time. The old URL and QR code then stop working.

This marketing site

The public website is static HTML. It does not need an account cookie to work. If you accept analytics, we load a privacy-oriented pageview script so we can see which pages are useful. You can decline. We do not use advertising cookies on this site.

Your choice is stored in this browser so we do not ask on every visit. See the banner on the site, or clear site data to choose again.

Your choices

• Do not tap Share my location if you do not want to send a pin.
• Account holders can disable or regenerate links from the app.
• You can decline analytics on this marketing site. The site still works.
• To review or delete account data, sign in and use the product controls, or contact us from the app.

Children

ShareMyPin is not directed at children under 16. Do not send a location link to a child or create an account for one.

Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after that date means the new policy applies.
